When Good People Fund worlds unknowingly converge:
During a recent meeting with Sharnese Harris, Founder of The Konnection in Detroit, she told us about a huge donation of clothing and sports equipment she had received. Sharnese runs a program that includes Konnection Klosets, which provide supplies students need, which in turn, help promote attendance and greater success. We were delighted to learn that the large gift came from Leveling the Playing Field, founded by Max Levitt, a The Good People Fund grantee from their earliest days.
Starting with a small warehouse in Silver Spring, Maryland, Leveling the Playing Field has become a major force in the ecosystem of meeting the needs of youth across many states in the USA. We love when the lives, and life work, of our good people meet, whether by design or, in this case, a happy coincidence!
