Walter Ritz and Brandi Robinson founded Sunflower of Westchester to improve the lives of children and families involved in the foster care system. Drawing on the experiences of foster youth, foster parents, and community partners, Sunflower provides mentorship, resources, respite care, and practical support to help children and families thrive. Through their work, more young people and families receive the encouragement and stability they need to build brighter futures.
Strengthening Families
Fathers Fighting 4 Fathers
In some of the most challenging neighborhoods in the city of Baltimore, families struggle to survive the economic realities that abound there. Fathers Fighting 4 Fathers headed by Markus Trent recognizes that by empowering fathers and helping them develop skills that ultimately lead to greater involvement in the family unit will lead to a strong family and deliver the benefits that come with that strength.
When families are strong, whole neighborhoods become strong, creating stability and unity. Diverse programming includes mentoring for first time parents, financial literacy, health and wellness, family breakfasts, college tours and beyond.
